Irreni Solutions VS Bernie Sanders

Hi! Happy Sunday!

Hope you all are doing well!

We've already had a Bernie Sanders for President. His name was Jimmy Carter. A Lone Ranger cannot change Washington.

If on some off chance Bernie Sanders were elected to be President then he would suffer the same fate as Jimmy Carter.

Jimmy Carter was a Washington outsider. Bernie Sanders is a Washington outsider in the sense that a.) he's a socialist and b.) he is party independent. Jimmy Carter was undermined by his own party. If Bernie Sanders were elected President then he will be undermined by the Democrats for the exact same reason: the politicians are beholden to big business first and foremost. But the impact was actually worse then the Democrats undermining Jimmy Carter. When Reagan was elected the Democrats voted across party lines more times than all of previous history combined. To whit, the Democrats were Republicans during the Reagan years.

Here is a question for you. Without the support of The House, The Senate or a political party just what will Bernie Sanders be able to do?

When Bill Clinton took office he was an outsider as well. It took Bill a couple of years to ingratiate himself with the insiders and he has been there ever since.

"The time for heroes is over, Malcolm Reynolds. Now is the time for business."
-Firefly, paraphrased

In some sense we Americans are too much the romantics from watching too many movies and too much television. Neither Bernie Sanders nor Elizabeth Warren can be lone heroes. Just ask yourself this: where are all the other Democrats? Why aren't all the other Democrats behind the populist messages being espoused in the media from either Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren? Where are Barbra Boxer and Diane Feinstein? Oh yeah, in the hip pockets of the corruption. Gender, it seems, has no bearing on corruptibility.

You cannot move the levers of power unless you have access to the levers of power. Neither Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders have access. They are total outsiders. If either one were to be elected President they would suffer Jimmy Carter's fate.

You cannot move the levers of power unless you have access to the levers of power. What this country needs is either a Franklin Roosevelt or a Lyndon Johnson. I'm not saying that because these guys were Democrats. I'm saying that because these guys both were power elite insiders of their respective days. When either of these Presidents wanted to make a change then they had the support of not just their parties but also the moneyed establishment.

Imagine if FDR or LBJ were elected to office today. Could either one pull off what they did in their respective times? No. Power, like everything else, has become distributed. There are far more millionaires and billionaires today. In the last century power lined up behind the political parties. No more. Now power distributes across the parties and now power no longer cares about the agenda of the political parties.

To whit, the American Presidency is a farce. Washington is a farce. Corruption has overrun representation and any semblance of representation of the people, by the people and for the people is over.

In the next election the best conversation one can have about American politics is not which party or candidate is better, but how they are all the same.

It is time to admit that lone voices like Bernie Sanders and Elisabeth Warren are alone because corruption in Washington has won. The sooner we admit this the sooner we can have meaningful conversation about what comes next: Irreni World Scale!
