Irreni Solutions vs. Armed Protesters

Hi! Happy Sunday!

The computer is mightier than the gun! There is a story today of armed protesters, a.k.a insurgents, who have occupied a Federal Building in Oregon.

  • Q: What is the Irreni World Scale solution to such insurrection? 
  • A: Off their virtual heads!
There are people who believe guns represent the ultimate in power in today's world. They do not. First, the pen has always been mightier then the sword. Today, the computer is infinitely more powerful than the sword.

The insurrection in Oregon is a great time to instruct the people who have bought 100 million guns since Obama has been office that real power lies in technology far newer than the gun.

"Off with their heads!" is needed no more. This was the scream during the French Revolution use of the guillotine. We do not need to resort to violence in the information age.

Off with their virtual heads! Below are just some modern day solutions already in practice:
  1. Cut off their their bank accounts. 
  2. Cut off their flying privileges.
  3. Cut off their property.
  4. Cut off their Internet access.
  5. Cut off their cell phone access.
  6. Cut off their roads.
  7. Cut off their water.  
  8. Cut off their electricity.
Violence is not required in the information age. We don't need to chop of the physical heads of armed protesters or the physical heads of the greedy who are taking so much today. Instead, off with their virtual heads!

An added bonus is that we don't have to pay for the imprisonment. Just off with their virtual heads! We'll just take their money, bits on a computer. We seize the property of drug pirates under an arcane law regarding pirates. These people are pirates, seize the day! The computer is mightier than the gun!

Bad Reasoning Bad reasoning. We all have it and do it. Some of us more than others. How many times have we heard the average person doesn't understand finances? And yet everyone is expected to have their retirement invested? What kind of mad world is this? We demand financial savvy where none exists? It is almost as if the system is rigged to rip us all off while telling us it is our fault and we buy it hook, line, and sinker? Hi! Happy Wednesday! Yesterday I blogged about applying Silicon Valley know-how to politics,  how under the covers of Irreni World Scale lie the principles Silicon Valley computing. Specifically I went on about the process of innovation being agile. Agile is defined to be a constant back-and-forth of top-down versus bottom-up design approaches called iterations. We can think of these top-down versus bottom up iterations as a revolution, a revolution of a wheel of design  where top and bottom of the wheel represent top-down vs. bottom-up design perspectives respectively. The new form of 21st Century revolution then is innovation brought on by each revolution of the design. This solution presented is how to think about the current national turmoil about NFL players taking the knee during the playing of the national anthem. Kavanaugh Debrief Hi! Happy Tuesday! Who should you believe: Kavanaugh or Ford?  I don't know. One of my throw-away lines with respect to atheism is that religion is for people who cannot accept "I don't know" as an answer. I could brag that a religious inability to accept "I don't know" is due to a lack of humility. But that's not the case. The reason people cannot accept "I don't know" is that "I don't know" is unsatisfying, it doesn't satisfy to provide ground for traction to move forward in life. But that's not true. I don't know is an actionable and tractable answer, and so I give to you this debrief.
