Today's Presidential campaign is a missed phone call.
"Bzzzz. Bzzzz. Bzzzz. We're sorry, the person you have tried to reach
is not available at this time, please a message at the beep..."
Solutions. Lots of solutions. We want solutions, nay we demand
solutions. But no one is picking up the line. All we are doing is
leaving messages.
Irreni World Scale has solutions, lots of solutions. But, before we
can embark on finding those solutions then we first have to understand the
problem. And we don't understand the problem we are facing today. And that
is why we are all so dumbfounded.
So, bear with me here dear reader as I walk you through this.
Since this country was founded we have relied on a party system. The
nexus, the heartbeat, the very life blood of a party is its
ideology. A party platform represents the kind of country we want and how
we get there described in one over-arching ideology.
When, dear reader, was the last time you heard either party debate in
the public with full vim and vigor their ideology to be put to legislation?
When? Like never. Ever.
Ideology is dead. Door nail dead. Beyond Zombie apocalypse dead. And
that is why our system is broken. The powers that be, our political
parties are looking down at a political brown-paper bag with the bottom tore out from a weight that the bag can't hold. The world has grown to complex for party ideology.
Ideology being dead is not just a loss of party platform. It is also a
loss of party cohesion. If there is no platform then there is no need
for party members to support each other. Why do you need your party members? It is not like there is any agreed upon legislation to be enacted.
And so it is today that all of the Presidential candidates are
candidates without party; candidates without party platforms; candidates
without group support working together for a common cause.
Ideology is dead. We have come full circle, a circle of 1776
beginning, and have now regressed back to where our politics are now beholden to the the whims and egos of a single leader. Oh sure the President is not exactly a king, but without a party to answer too, a party platform as a common objective for all party members to aspire too, the President is as capricious and whimsical as a king.
What I find surprising today is that Hillary Clinton could very well be the
first woman President, and yet since ideology is dead and political
parties mean nothing other than organized corruption then the other
women such as Nancy Pelosi, Barbra Boxer and Diane Feinstein are not
exited about and actively supporting a possible first woman President
candidate. Truly remarkable.
That, dear reader, says it all about just how dead ideology is and by
extension political parties are. The first woman President is flying
solo without the support of other women in her party, so much so there is no
hint, no whiff, of other women around Hillary. Not even Elisabeth Warren.
How did we get here?
First, you have to realize that ideology has always been in American
politics and religion and ideology go hand-in-hand. No one today is interested in taking on religion; except Irreni, of course.
If ideology goes then so does religion. Religion can no longer be an
ideological force in government. First and foremost because the age of
ideology is over.
We are now in a new age, an age of innovation.
It says so right there in the name of this blog: [I]nnovation [R]eplaces [R]evolution, [E]ngineering [N]ot [I]deology.
Our common solution, our common goal that we must work towards is to
bootstrap political innovation. Political and technical innovation
have a common trait in that they are feats of engineering. Political ideology
represents a collection of ideals that adhere to an overarching
ideology. Political innovation solves problems independently. For
example, the innovations required to solve global warming are not part
of some over-arching ideology that also includes solving health care. Ideology cannot scale, the world is too complex. The time for innovation is at hand.
The political class today is stuck on ideology. They cannot see past
ideology. Who wants to take on religion? Who wants to take on Social
Security? Who wants to take on capitalism?
The only person who is going to see us through this, the only person
who is going to pick up the phone is looking us back in the mirror.
We must begin the hard work of turning our political ship around before we go even further in the past politically than 1776. That
means slowly revamping our entire political system from the ground
up. We need to acknowledge the ideology has run its course and that we now need new political systems that support and implement political
innovation, political engineering. And that is what Irreni World Scale
is all about.
It is not going to be easy. But anything worth doing never
is. Tomorrow, as you look out at the political landscape and realize
the political parties are dead, empty husks of graft, then realize our
politics are not picking up. Our politics is never going to pick up the
phone. All we will be able to do is leave a message for our future selves.
The challenge for us is to pick up our messages and run with it.
