The Day The Music Died

Hi! Happy Tuesday!

Nov. 8, the day the democracy died.

A long long time ago
All Presidential election talk =  Congress overlooked and re-elected.
I can still remember how
Plea deal for all felony charges = no jury trial.
That music used to make me smile
Arbitration replacing small claims court = can't win at trial at all.
 
And I knew if I had my chance
Sworn to secrecy = arbitration hidden.
That I could make those people dance
Banks shopped State's with laxest laws = health insurance companies soon will too.
And maybe they'd be happy for a while
Banks consolidated to too big to fail = health insurance companies soon will too.
But February made me shiver
Clinton polled win in California the day she announced =  my vote is nothing except to spend a year talking about.
With every paper I'd deliver
1999 Telecommunications Act = media companies consolidated to a few.
Bad news on the doorstep
For profit news = sensationalism lowest hanging fruit.
I couldn't take one more step
 Consolidated media's profit = fourth estate.
I can't remember if I cried
American fight club of left vs right = permanent profit machine.
When I read about his widowed bride
Hate Obamacare scare but the solution promise is only a single word, "terrific" = hate and fear is the only there.
Something touched me deep inside
We talk like neither the co-equal Congress nor the required political party exist = President trained in our brain as a dictator with no one else that matters.
The day the music died
November 8 = we vote 99% of Congress back in place but with whom we don't approve and with two Presidential candidates of record breaking ratings of public distaste. 
This'll be the day that I die

Hi! Happy Wednesday! Yesterday Jimmy Carter was interviewed where in essence he was saying the US is no longer a Democracy, but an oligarchy. But that is actually being nice. Irreni Manages Bad Reasoning

Bad Reasoning Bad reasoning. We all have it and do it. Some of us more than others. How many times have we heard the average person doesn't understand finances? And yet everyone is expected to have their retirement invested? What kind of mad world is this? We demand financial savvy where none exists? It is almost as if the system is rigged to rip us all off while telling us it is our fault and we buy it hook, line, and sinker? The sad fact is we do let them get away with it because we do think it is our fault. Irreni World Scale manages bad reasoning. Some people may naively think that ignorance of something like finances is the only cause. Not at all. I know people with degrees in Math who buy lottery tickets. When I ask them if they know they are just throwing away money they say yes. On a more personal level I know I should be exercising but I don't. Irreni World Scale is new kind of governing. Irreni World Scale has nothing in common with today's central governments of Democracy, Communism, Socialism, etc. As such Irreni World Scale is going to be strange to you. It is going to be weird. However, don't let that stop you from reading this book. Just take a few deep breathes when needed. Perhaps set the book down when things get too weird. Hi! Happy Wednesday! Yesterday I blogged about applying Silicon Valley know-how to politics,  how under the covers of Irreni World Scale lie the principles Silicon Valley computing. Specifically I went on about the process of innovation being agile. Agile is defined to be a constant back-and-forth of top-down versus bottom-up design approaches called iterations. We can think of these top-down versus bottom up iterations as a revolution, a revolution of a wheel of design  where top and bottom of the wheel represent top-down vs. bottom-up design perspectives respectively. The new form of 21st Century revolution then is innovation brought on by each revolution of the design. I then made the statement that if there were only one thing to learn from Irreni World Scale it is this: that politics today needs new bottom-up systems for people to make decisions for themselves. Hi! Happy Friday! The US and the World governments have an intelligentsia problem that has long been predicted so often that it is a trope in speculative science fiction. What has gotten lost amidst all of the demagoguery,  sensationalism, click-bait hate and histrionics that is Donald Trump has been Trump's complete and total incompetence. The odds of Trump succeeding at being President are exactly the same as the Infinite Monkey Theorem : The infinite monkey theorem states that a monkey hitting keys at random on a typewriter keyboard for an infinite amount of time will almost surely type a given text, such as the complete works of William Shakespeare. Or, as John Oliver stated, the odds of Trump being successful are the same as a wombat successfully piloting an airplane. There is a lot of punditry that could splayed here. One of my throw-away lines with respect to atheism is that religion is for people who cannot accept "I don't know" as an answer. I could brag that a religious inability to accept "I don't know" is due to a lack of humility. But that's not the case. The reason people cannot accept "I don't know" is that "I don't know" is unsatisfying, it doesn't satisfy to provide ground for traction to move forward in life. But that's not true. I don't know is an actionable and tractable answer, and so I give to you this debrief. For example, in science a hypothesis starts with "I don't know" as the only actionable answer to the initial hypothesis. The answer is only known after an experiment is run and results analyzed.
