Irreni Introduction: Futureproof

I originally posted this as a comment on my Facebook timeline but thinking about it I believe this should be in the book introducing Irreni.
The NPR linked article contains two headlines: the first "upward mobility no tougher" and the second in the article, "growing income inequality has made the gap between income levels much wider than in the past".
It is a good to ponder what "no tougher" and "growing income inequality" mean together.
I'm happy when I read scientific studies that debunk previous findings, in this case the upward mobility is harder. I think the devil is in the details though and specifically that what we now think of as red states are being left behind. Places like the San Francisco Bay Area where the cost of living is the highest have the greatest mobility and this is counter-intuitive.
Studies have shown that by 2040 more than half the population will live in seven metropolitan regions within the US. This is our constitutional crisis today. Those in low population States are being left behind economically and for all practical purposes, locked out of upward mobility. People of low character and wealth will cynically manipulate this change to their own political ends. Our current constitutional crisis has nothing to do...zero, zip, nada...with Democratic vs. Republican politics and everything to do with the technological manipulation of the monetary system by the greedy, low character types to enrich themselves and in part exploiting those technologically left behind in the red states. Someone asked me if I thought red state voters are morons. No, I think red state voters are trying to preserve life-styles and jobs that cannot be preserved in this technological era and this tension is being exploited by the greedy, low-character folks by exploiting a failed US constitution that cannot manage a new fifty-percent distribution of our population living in seven metropolitan areas. They aren't even States.
Think of the tension between the city of Chicago and the State of Illinois. The State of Illinois government cannot meet both the demands of Chicago and the demands of rural Illinois because they are so far apart. The system of our US Constitution, the balance between State and Federal government, no longer applies and those people of bad character are going to continue to exploit this failure to their own ends. This is the root cause or our political failings today, systemic failure. This means all the jibber-jabber about party politics is just that: jibber-jabber of no import. As long as we continue to pretend party politics matter we cannot fix the problem because we are not addressing the root cause.
One other word on this concept. Speculative science-fiction has predicted this crisis since the 1950s. The concept is relatively easy: the value of the average IQ goes down as capability of technology goes up. Science fiction is replete with stories where in the future the average IQ brain will be worth more money when the brain is used for its consciousness capability than if the owner is using it.
We saw this in the movie, "The Matrix". Humans are not good batteries. That's ridiculous. The point of "humans as batteries" in the movie is those folks with average IQ cannot make this technological determination. We are told that humans are grown for their "battery" resources. The true plots is that human brains provide computers with consciousness, a unique ability. Every program *except* the architect is wired to a human brain. In will be vastly easier and cheaper for us as humans to interface human consciousness with a computer than to artificially produce consciousness. When that day happens, when the average IQ will be more valuable as a computer processor than as some job worker, we will face a government crisis.
The movie, "The Matrix", then is your typical speculative warning of the consequences of using human brains as consciousness for computers. We are living in a technological gap today where the average IQ is getting less valuable every day but connecting consciousness to computers as yet does not exist.
Irreni World Scale defends against the singularity: the day computers gain consciousness one way or the other. It does so by compartmentalizing government to 300 million governing bodies of size thirty. When the singularity happens there will be no pathway for a few people of high wealth to pay people to use their brains as computers morally. As individual voters within our 30 person government our vote will count. Also, Irreni includes the right to individual currency and there will also be millions of currencies. In the Irreni future there will be no pathway for one person with one currency to buy much at all. Any entity attempting to control all currencies can be easily dismissed when large scale manipulations are attempted.
