1. Panic buying. I just did my weekly grocery shopping. People in Maine stock up anyway due to heavy winter storms. So, the paper aisle looked the same. However, I ran out of spaghetti a couple of days ago and the pasta shelves were empty. Same with some of the canned good shelves.

2. Credit scores. What do you think is going to happen with people's credit scores during all this? Even if Congress gives people money to live on it will not be enough to meet the bills. Credit scores are going to take a huge drop on average. Question: have any of your Congress critters have been talking about this? Come on, lets get real. The rich are not going to give us a break. They are not going to suspend late payment penalties. The thing is it takes years to repair broken credit scores of one late payment because the rich are a bunch of rotten, evil, people. You'll be paying for this long after it is old news. 

3. Consumer optimization. Consumer capitalism only works on the law of averages. This means consumer capitalism is insufficient to hand exceptions like a pandemic. A lack of ICU facilities will impact everyone who needs an ICU facility and not just coronavirus victims. What determines the number of ICUs? The law of averages based on average need. A pandemic induces a spike.


How much should we over provision, over compensate to meet spikes in need as with pandemics? Easy, the extreme that is most the feasible. No one can do surgery on themselves. We cannot provision individuals to be 100% independent. Irreni World Scale uses the smallest number possible, thirty, for extreme provisioning. Irreni moves capitalism from consumer based economy using the law of averages that is constantly being gamed when spikes occur. In fact evil people will induce such spikes. Consumer economies then are evil because evil people take advantage when spikes occur either naturally or deliberately for profit. By contrast with Irreni each MGO of size 30 people will have extreme isolation capabilities, i.e independence, including the possibility of having their own medical bay with ICU. This is the only moral direction society can go.

Bad Reasoning Bad reasoning. We all have it and do it. Some of us more than others. How many times have we heard the average person doesn't understand finances? And yet everyone is expected to have their retirement invested? What kind of mad world is this? We demand financial savvy where none exists? It is almost as if the system is rigged to rip us all off while telling us it is our fault and we buy it hook, line, and sinker? Hi! Happy Wednesday! Yesterday I blogged about applying Silicon Valley know-how to politics,  how under the covers of Irreni World Scale lie the principles Silicon Valley computing. Specifically I went on about the process of innovation being agile. Agile is defined to be a constant back-and-forth of top-down versus bottom-up design approaches called iterations. We can think of these top-down versus bottom up iterations as a revolution, a revolution of a wheel of design  where top and bottom of the wheel represent top-down vs. bottom-up design perspectives respectively. The new form of 21st Century revolution then is innovation brought on by each revolution of the design. One of my throw-away lines with respect to atheism is that religion is for people who cannot accept "I don't know" as an answer. I could brag that a religious inability to accept "I don't know" is due to a lack of humility. But that's not the case. The reason people cannot accept "I don't know" is that "I don't know" is unsatisfying, it doesn't satisfy to provide ground for traction to move forward in life. But that's not true. I don't know is an actionable and tractable answer, and so I give to you this debrief.
