Happy Wednesday!

  1. Is Trump more of an authoritarian today than King George was in 1787?
  2. Did the House of Lords hold King George more in check than Congress checks Trump today?


These are not questions of law, but rather are questions of power and tyranny resulting from failures of US representatives to abide by the US Constitution. Specifically lobbyists write the laws, Congress does not. Furthermore Congress has turned over all administrative power to the Executive branch with no oversight. This has effectively turned Congress into a rubber stamp of corruption spending by lobbyists where the President is lobbyist number one. The inherent design flaw in the US Constitution is there is no legal system to adjudicate failures by representatives to govern by the US Constitution. The only remedy is to vote them out of office. That is now impossible. We now have one-hundred years of law making where Congress handed power to the office of the President. You will never see your representatives in the news because they do nothing but service corruption whether they are campaigning or passing budgets. You have no basis to vote out someone with whom you know nothing about. We now have a long established and permanent 90% incumbency rate for elected representatives and so voting them out of office is no longer possible. Newly elected representatives have no power except to service corruption because all Congressional power has been given to the office of the President. We are arguably more authoritarian today then in 1787 and our freedoms are living on borrowed time.

Hi! Happy Wednesday! Yesterday Jimmy Carter was interviewed where in essence he was saying the US is no longer a Democracy, but an oligarchy. But that is actually being nice. Bad Reasoning Bad reasoning. We all have it and do it. Some of us more than others. How many times have we heard the average person doesn't understand finances? And yet everyone is expected to have their retirement invested? What kind of mad world is this? We demand financial savvy where none exists? It is almost as if the system is rigged to rip us all off while telling us it is our fault and we buy it hook, line, and sinker? The sad fact is we do let them get away with it because we do think it is our fault. Irreni World Scale manages bad reasoning. One of my throw-away lines with respect to atheism is that religion is for people who cannot accept "I don't know" as an answer. I could brag that a religious inability to accept "I don't know" is due to a lack of humility. But that's not the case. There has been news lately surrounding Amnesty International's proposed new platform to decriminalize prostitution.  Should we?
