Irreni Solutions VS 2016 Elections

Image
Hi! Happy Sunday! Irreni Solutions VS 2016 Elections The elections are coming! The elections are coming! Got Despair? Are you asking yourself does it really matter? The amount of repair, hope, change and political optimism is inversely proportional to the number of candidates running. Our elections have been distilled down to a popularity contest. We have no expectation that the next President of the United States will be able to overcome the corruption and therefore the President is like a homecoming queen: pretty without expectation. A popularity contest. It has come down to that. I would like to offer an Irreni solution to the 2016 election: indirectly use the Internet for populist voting. Here is the formula: Google and Linkedin join forces to post resumes of political candidates.  Citizens post resumes of anyone they'd like to see in office. Anyone that qualifies under the Constitution qualifies as a political candidate.  Citizens campaign via the Internet

Irreni Solutions VS Robert Reich

Image
Hi! Zappy Friday! This is an open letter to Robert Reich. Robert Reich has been publishing 10 ways to make the economy work for the many and not the few. Kudos for trying!  Today was #7, bring back the Unions . I posted an Irreni Solutions comment: Unions pre-date the global economy and are obsolete in the world today. The idea of what Unions represent needs to radically change to still be relevant. So much so then why even call the idea Unions? Unless Unions can legally span country borders the same way 30 years of legislation have enabled cross-border businesses then Unions are just a pipe dream. The world has changed since 1950 people. What the world needs is Irreni World Scale.  The biggest threat to Democracy today is scale. What worked for 10 million people in 1789 doesn't work for 300 million people in 2015. The solutions provided by Robert Reich give the impression that Reich is suffering from a guilty conscience. Perhaps he feels guilty about the repeal

The Babymaker: Life, The Universe and Everything

Image
Hi! Happy Wednesday! What is the meaning of life? Why are we here? Is there life after death? Stay tuned and I will answer all of these questions and more in one simply blog post. Oy vey! Yeah baby, yeah! A good writer is compelling and interesting. To date my blog has really been about a brain dump of ideas more than compelling writing. In this blog post I will water the roses of interest a little harder. What? How does one water "harder" and why would that make for better roses? lol. Oh well, maybe next time. Onward! What is the meaning of life? To answer that let us first examine what is the purpose of philosophy. Philosophy is to life what science is to life for most of human history. It answers questions. I am a philosopher. It took me awhile to figure out what that meant. When I first thought of myself as a philosopher I thought it meant filling the gaps of science. I also thought it meant coming up with witty metaphors to help lay people relate to complicat

Tomorrowland Movie Review: Irreni Worthy

Image
Hi! Happy Sunday! Tomorrowland Movie Review: Irreni Worthy Tomorrowland is an Irreni worthy movie because fundamentally Tomorrwland is optimistic and fun. Woot! Casey: There are two wolves who are always fighting. One is darkness and despair. The other is light and hope. The question is: which wolf wins? Nate Newton: The one you feed. Tomorrowland begins with a simple moral lesson of optimism and then ends with the same moral lesson.  A young women is recruited to save the world. She does so by applying the simple optimistic moral stated in the beginning. In Tomorrowland an engineer played by George Clooney figures out how to predict, or monitor, the future using tachyons of Star Trek fame. A despair future is predicted by the tachyon monitor where the world will end in a just a few months. The moral to the story and the wolf parable above is that life is a feedback loop. The movie goes one step further and promotes optimism when there is only a 1% chance of survi

Irreni Solutions VS The Case of Mistaken Identity

Image
Hi! Happy Sunday! I was standing in line at Starbucks and I heard a political conversation that ended with, "Democrats are the only one to have used the atomic bomb." The Case of Mistaken Identity is rampant in America today. Take for example the case of Republican versus Democrat. Republicans and Democrats shifted seats on the bus back when the Civil Rights Act was passed. The Southern Strategy ultimately meant that the solidly Democratic South shifted Republican. Where would the Republicans be today without their new bigoted base? Then again there was the sexual revolution, the free-speech movement the protesting of the Vietnam war. The Democratic party did not embrace these future ideas of the Democrats of today. Mayor Daily in 1968 called out the Chicago Police who beat students within inches of their lives at the Democratic Convention. To whit, what it means to be a Democrat or Republican has changed many times over the last hundred years. Yet we use these political

Irreni Solutions VS The Bubble Bath

Image
Hi! Happy Sunday! Irreni Solutions vs. The Bubble Bath Science is like a bubble bath. When you are feeling alone and yet wanting something wet, effervescence and gentle on your skin then draw a nice warm bath. Or science project. Muh ha ha! Should we genetically test babies at birth? This will provide much needed medical information throughout a person's entire life? Bubble baths and genetic testing. That's like two different topics. I'm taking a hint from modern television to have two story lines going.  Did you know that two different story lines is now a staple of television show? Back in the old days of television a television show was a vignette. A vignette is a self-encapsulated show that can be watch independently. This makes perfect sense with broadcast television where viewers may miss episodes week-to-week. Then reruns were invented and television evolved. Dual story arcs took hold and viewers took to them. Then Joss Whedon comes along with Buffy the Vamp

Irrenis Solutions VS Climate Change

Image
Hi! Happy Saturday! Doing some blogging while I am waiting on my laundry. It is hard to imagine a problem greater than climate change. Addressing the problems of climate change is going to require world cooperation, world scale. Where there is a will there is a way, or so the saying goes. The will of a people to solve a problem must exist prior to implementing any solution. We lack that will today. For example, are we willing to give up eating meat? You can Google the web for climate change and vegetarian diet to learn the dramatic impact going vegetarian will have on climate change. Yet we lack the will to go vegetarian. Our  collective, world will then is a bigger problem than climate change. If there is no collective, world will then there is no world change. Suffice it to say then as a people we will go extinct before we go vegetarian. Is there any hope of change? Let's first make it clear where there is no hope for change; our current collective governments and r

Irreni Solutions VS Democracy

Image
Hi! h A p P y  S u N d A y ! ! Democracy is dead. Now what? What comes after Democracy? Irreni World Scale does, of course. But why? Should you be afraid? Boo! Should you be afraid of Irreni World Scale is some kind of World Domination plan with Mr. Wonderful laughing maniacally in the middle? Muh ha ha! More importantly when should you be afraid some new form of government or society is masked world domination? :-) First of all, why is Democracy dead? Democracy is dead because bureaucracy is dead. Bureaucracy is dead because bureaucracy relies on inefficiency to function. When you have an efficient government, you have a dictatorship. --Harry S Truman In an information age era where a new technology like the iPhone can disrupt society virtually overnight then  politics needs to move overnight with it. Bureaucracies are inefficient because of individual titles, power and empire within empire building. In a bureaucracy you do not get rewarded for being efficient. In a b

Irreni Solutions VS Islam's Thin Skin

Image
Hi! Happy Monday! Headline news today is a two men were shot dead outside the Muhammad Art Exhibit & Contest where a prize of $10,000 was offered for the best cartoon of Muhammed. I'd like to offer an Irreni World Scale view on cartoon killing; that of being thin skinned. Irreni promotes moral diversity as a method of expanding your free will. Finding your tribe with the maximum moral diversity within your tribe means that people you trust can make moral decisions on your behalf that you otherwise cannot: thus expanding your free will range. Expanding your free will range does more than provide moral opportunity, however. Embracing moral diversity necessarily increases your tolerance of others and decreases emotional manipulation. We  call this emotional manipulation defense having a thick skin. When I was a child I cried. I cried at the drop of the hat. My mother would go out of her way to make me cry. Abuse is an understatement considering who I was. Everyone tho

Irreni Solutions VS Non-Scalable Solutions

Image
Hi! Happy Sunday! Two posts today! Let us ponder for a second two non-scalable solutions recently in the news: Parenting Police body cameras Parenting Parenting became a rioting solution during the looting of Baltimore. Parenting became a looting solution when a mother was video taped disciplining her teenage son on camera. Everyone cheered, Huzza! Immediately following was a viral video by a black women who suggested that the problem wasn't the police but rather the black parents who were not teaching their kids respect by "putting their foot so far up their kid's ass they choked on it." So why is parenting a non-scalable solution to the police problem? Where does a parent learn to be a good parent? From their parents, of course. Which is the scalable problem. You see, the black gal in the video saying the problem with blacks looting today is blacks parents themselves didn't take into account scale, the scale of multiple generations. Black f

Irreni Solutions VS Bernie Sanders

Image
Hi! Happy Sunday! Hope you all are doing well! We've already had a Bernie Sanders for President. His name was Jimmy Carter. A Lone Ranger cannot change Washington. If on some off chance Bernie Sanders were elected to be President then he would suffer the same fate as Jimmy Carter. Jimmy Carter was a Washington outsider. Bernie Sanders is a Washington outsider in the sense that a.) he's a socialist and b.) he is party independent. Jimmy Carter was undermined by his own party. If Bernie Sanders were elected President then he will be undermined by the Democrats for the exact same reason: the politicians are beholden to big business first and foremost. But the impact was actually worse then the Democrats undermining Jimmy Carter. When Reagan was elected the Democrats voted across party lines more times than all of previous history combined. To whit, the Democrats were Republicans during the Reagan years. Here is a question for you. Without the support of The House, The Se
